Chris was born and raised in and around Brantford Ontario. Some of his earliest jobs as a teenager which made him realize he had a love for design and constrution were working for a local general contractor and as part of a grounds keeping crew at a nearby golf course. He moved to Ottawa in the mid 1990s to attend the Carleton University School of Architecture, where he graduated with distinction in 2002. Chris has over 20 years of experience in commercial Architecture and Design throughout the province of Ontario. When not busy at work, he enjoys mostly spending time with his wife and kids in the great outdoors far away from city life. He is a life long sportsman, always looking for new active ways to push the limits, testing his mental and physical durability. He’s a wizard with a chainsaw, and likes to spend much of his free time puttering about on his many projects around his property.

Chris Deimling

President

Born and raised in Ottawa, Jordan recalls developing an interest in Architecture and Design at an early age which stemmed from a love for drawing and many other surroundings, such as toys and crafts, geared towards building and assembling. It was his early childhood experiences that drove his pursuit of Architectural Technology for his post-secondary studies. Years later, Jordan graduated from Algonquin College in 2006. Today he manages the Technology and Production department at DAID and oversees the quality control of our very talented team. His extensive experience and eye for detail make him an invaluable member of our senior management team. When outside work, Jordan and his partner Sheena have their hands full raising their kids and spending time with family and friends. He enjoys his down time outdoors, cottaging, sampling great music and craft beers and keeping busy with a long list of projects around the house.

Jordan Fairhead

Director of Technology

David was born and raised in Northern Ontario. He moved to Windsor Ontario to attend St. Clair College and study Interior Design, and graduating in 2003. David has 18+ years of experience, mainly in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec as well as some experience working abroad in various commercial design projects, including corporate office, healthcare, industrial and retail. Due to his creative instinct, his foremost skill is to work with his clients from the initial concept vision, to later create and assist in developing his ideas into real property assets. When David is not working he has his hands full entertaining friends and family with much time spent in the great outdoors, often at the lake hanging out around a bonfire.

David Lajeunesse

Director of Interior Design

Jay grew up in Ottawa and has always had a strong passion for Architecture and sustainable design. He became a LEED accredited professional prior to attending Algonquin College for Architectural Technology, where he graduated from with honours. Prior to attending Algonquin, Jay gathered considerable experience in the commercial construction industry, as well as residential construction and landscape design. He enjoys developing a project from the initial design concept and graphic visualization, through to final completion. Away from the office, Jay enjoys spending time with his family and friends, enhancing his architectural visualizations, along with his many personal landscape designs and other projects.

Jason Morden

Technologist

William grew up in North Stormont Ontario and attended Algonquin College in Ottawa for Architectural Technology where he graduated in 2017. He has a broad base of experience, including working for a renowned multi-disciplinary engineering firm in Eastern Ontario, as well as high-end residential design and construction in addition to his ongoing commercial architectural involvements. In addition to holding his BCIN certification, he also has extensive knowledge and background in lumber, timber framing and woodworking. When not busy with his day to day projects, William is most often involved in culinary arts in one way or another, whether it be cooking, baking or exploring new cuisines and flavours. He is also an avid homebrewer and is always tinkering with new recipes and formulas in pursuit of his next draught.

Alex is an Architectural Technologist graduate from Algonquin College with a long running passion for drawing, photography, and graphic design. Outside of office hours you can find him buried in a good book or with his wife and their two kids plotting their next travel adventure.

Talar Demirjian

Intern Architect

Born in Lebanon and of Armenian descent, Talar’s lifelong passion for design and creativity led her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Lebanese American University where she graduated with distinction. She also studied Green Architecture at Algonquin College to fulfill her interest in sustainability and to complement her knowledge with strategies that help design healthier and environmentally responsible buildings. After graduating with honours, she joined the DAID team as an Intern Architect and is now on her path to Licensure in Ontario.

Outside of work, talar enjoys cooking, catching up with her friends, running, and going on adventurous trips outside the city.
